Protecting voting rights ensures that every Wisconsinite is able to have their voice heard and their voice counted. Our democracy works best when everyone has the opportunity to participate in it, regardless of where they live, how much they earn, or what their background may be. Voting is the foundation of our system of government, and safeguarding that right is essential to maintaining a healthy and representative democracy.

I will work to ensure that efforts to suppress the ability to vote are not successful. No eligible voter should face unnecessary barriers, confusion, or intimidation when they seek to participate in our elections. We must remain vigilant in defending the integrity of our democratic process while also protecting the fundamental right of every citizen to cast their ballot freely and fairly.

At the same time, we should be making it easier, and not harder, for people to exercise this civic duty. Expanding access to early voting, ensuring fair and accessible polling locations, and protecting secure absentee voting are all ways we can strengthen participation. When more people can take part in our elections, our democracy grows stronger, and our government better reflects the will of the people
